Summary of services | Their services include: Seeking out the most hidden individuals and families in the neighbourhood. Offering friendship and hospitality. Helping parents and pre-school children to play and learn together. Information and signposting to other agencies. Immigration advice Specific support to asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and other newcomers to Sandwell. Housing and tenancy support for refugees. Counselling Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), including free crèche provision operated by Tipton Toddlers and Sure Start, for learners` children. Home visiting and befriending service. Networking among local agencies and supporting those which best enhance the life of the community. Enabling people to access education, health and social provision. Providing food, clothing, and household essentials to those most in need. Challenging structures which are keeping people in poverty. Reflecting together and evaluating our activities in the light of the Gospel. They also offer: Teaching ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) including free crèche provision, operated by Tipton Toddlers and Sure Start, for learners` children. Instruction in computer use. Help with CV`s and application forms. Work club advice and guidance. Free distribution of living essentials (food, clothes, baby equipment, etc.). Volunteer work opportunities. Social events and trips. Welfare rights advice. Health related activities. |
