The new housing development at Tommy Smart Close, off Reservior Road, Rowley Regis has provided a total of 27 new council homes being a mix of two and four-bedroom houses. The scheme is funded by Sandwell Council with grant funding from Homes England.
The scheme was design and project managed by Sandwell Council’s internal Urban Design & Building Services Team and programme management through Housing Partnerships and programme management through Housing Partnerships with construction being delivered by Seddon Construction Limited.
The properties will be managed by the council and allocated in accordance with the Housing Allocations Policy. All homes have now been advertised through Choice Based Lettings and successfully allocated.
This development forms new road: Tommy Smart Close, named after the Blackheath-born fullback footballer Thomas Smart who played schools football in Rowley Regis and went on to make five appearances for England at international level.
