Take part in our residents survey by Friday 1 August

Sandwell Council is seeking the views of residents to help shape council services.

Our 2025 residents’ survey is now open and people living in the borough are being urged to complete the survey by 1 August 2025.

Last year’s survey revealed that residents’ priorities included improving parks and green spaces, feeling safe in their neighbourhood – particularly after dark – and concerns about NHS waiting lists, their health and the cost of living.

In response, the council has made significant investment in CCTV in town centres, committed to tackling health inequalities and invested in more than 30 projects to improve Sandwell’s parks. The council is supporting communities struggling with the cost of living and has ambitious plans to create the jobs and opportunities that will boost everyone’s life chances.

Leader of Sandwell Council Councillor Kerrie Carmichael said: “It’s really important to us that we involve our residents in shaping council services. Our annual residents’ survey gives us the chance to hear what you think and what matters to you.

“Our priorities reflect the things that you – the people of Sandwell – have told us are important.

“We are building the best place for our children and young people to grow up and making Sandwell a cleaner, greener, safer place to live.

“We’re improving the health of our residents and fostering a thriving economy, providing opportunities for growth, good jobs and prosperity.

“So, take part in this year’s survey and tell us how you feel about the area where you live, what the big concerns are for you and your family, how you access council services and healthcare and more.

“By taking part, you will help shape our services - your opinions really matter. The results of the survey help us to make sure our services work for you.”

To take part in the survey by the closing date of 1 August, go to the Residents' Survey webpage. It should take around 15 minutes to complete.

A face-to-face survey is also taking place. MEL Research Ltd is carrying out the survey on the council’s behalf.
