Sandwell Council launches campaign to tackle dog mess

Everyone hates to see dog mess and Sandwell Council is doing something about it.

Over the summer, you will start to see lamp post wraps popping up around Sandwell in dog poop hot spots, as part of our new campaign to crack down on dog fouling.
People who do not clean up after their dogs in Sandwell face getting a £100 fine. You can report dog mess, or report someone who doesn't clean up after their dog, online.
Don't forget, dogs are also not allowed in our play areas and should be kept under control on their walks.
Sandwell Council’s cabinet member for environmental services, Councillor Zahoor Ahmed, said: “Most of Sandwell’s dog owners are courteous and responsible and clean  up after their dogs, but there are still a persistent few that do not.
"Through this campaign we are reminding them that everyone must do their bit and clean up after their dogs to make Sandwell a cleaner and more pleasant place for all. If they refuse they could be fined £100.”
