Care home thanks to Sandwell's Covid Resilience Team

One of Sandwell’s care home managers has praised the work of the council's Covid Resilience Team.
Tom Long, Registered Care Manager, Trinity View (Smethwick), Trinity Care & Support Services Ltd, said: “As a registered care manager who works across a number of local authorities, I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the Covid Resilience Team covering Sandwell.
“Throughout the pandemic, from the start, of all the local authority teams, Sandwell’s Covid Resilience Team has consistently been the first to inform me of any changes or new information. And the systems in place for the support of services, especially when experiencing instances of Covid, have been well organised and effective without being overbearing when there is already a lot to do.
“At a time when people are very quick to point fingers and criticise, I think it’s even more important to recognise when things have worked well. So, please accept my thanks for the work you’re doing and continue to do to keep my service, staff and service users safe during these challenging times.”
Councillor Suzanne Hartwell, Sandwell's cabinet member for adults, social care and health said:
"I would like to add my thanks to those of Tom for the fantastic work the team has done over such a long time to ensure that the most vulnerable in our society have been protected as much as possible. It is a real honour to continue to work alongside such dedicated public servants."
