Music-themed workshops for families for jazz festival

Published 4th July 2019

Families can enjoy music-themed workshops and craft activities in the run up to the Birmingham, Sandwell & Westside Jazz Festival.

Sandwell Adult and Family Learning (SAFL) is running the free events:

  • Saturday 13 July – Central Library West Bromwich
  • Saturday 20 July – Blackheath Library

Both events will run from 11am – 2pm and are free. Adults need to bring ID to register on the day of the event.

Councillor Danny Millard, Sandwell Council’s cabinet member for skills and employment, said: “These SAFL events are a great way to get all ages involved with the upcoming jazz festival. I would urge anyone that is interested in music to attend the music-themed workshop events.

“Sandwell Adult and Family Learning is all about helping adults to learn new skills individually or as part of our family learning programmes, helping them to improve their confidence when supporting their children’s development.”

For further information about these events or any other SAFL courses, call 0121 557 0837, contact_SAFL@sandwell.gov.uk or go to the SAFL webpage.

The Birmingham, Sandwell & Westside Jazz Festival runs from 19-28 July and includes music events in libraries, museums, Sandwell Arts Café, parks and other venues across Sandwell’s six towns.
