Dying Matters events in Sandwell

Events are being held in and around Sandwell next week in support of national Dying Matters Awareness Week (Monday 13 - Sunday 19 May).
The charity Dying Matters aims to raise awareness of dying, death and bereavement through its annual awareness week.
This year's theme is 'Are we ready?'
The events will encourage people to talk about the subjects of death and bereavement and get a wide range of advice and information from a variety of organisations.
Events in and around Sandwell include:
Monday 13 May:
Open day at the Heart of Sandwell Day Hospice at Rowley Regis Hospital from 10am-3pm – find out more about the therapies available.
Coffee morning at The Bridge, Murray Hall Community Trust, St Mark’s Road, Tipton, from 10am-1pm.
Tuesday 14 May:
Dying Matters awareness raising event, Oldbury Library, Jack Judge House, Oldbury, from 10.30am-3pm.
Learn more about the services available and have a cup of tea.
Death Café at Wednesbury Library, Walsall Street, from 11am-1pm. Come and enjoy a cup of tea, a cake and a chat.
Will writing and funeral planning event pop-in event at Birmingham Treatment Centre, City Hospital, Dudley Road, Birmingham, from 9am until 12noon.
Thursday 16 May:
Palliative Care Showcase Dying Matters for All followed by Death Café from 9am-12.30pm in Room 12/13, Medical Education Centre, Sandwell General Hospital, Lyndon, West Bromwich.
Saturday 18 May:
Sandwell Valley Crematorium Open Day 10am-3pm.
