Sandwell Shared Lives supports individuals with a Learning Disability with a wide range of needs. It is a flexible suport option in which a person can choose to spend just a day or overnight visit per week with their Shared Lives Carer. The scheme is CQC regulated and we recruite and assess the Shared Lives Carers to provide this support. The support provided by Shared Lives Carers to to help the individual to gain more independence and control over their own lives. The scheme also provides transition from Long Term foster arrangement into a Long Term Adult Shared Lives placement for those individuals with LD.
