Sandwell borough wide, current centre-based services are provided from our centre in Smethwick. Community-based care services can be provided across the borough. We also provide services in Birmingham.

Who is the service for?
Children, young people and adults (South Asian -not exclusively) who have a disability and/or complex health needs. We also provide wellbeing services to parents and carers.
Referral route
They accept self-referrals and referrals from other agencies. There is no cost for this service.
Specific ethnic group?
Yes. We work predominantly within the South Asian Community within Sandwell but also work with other BAME and non-BAME communities, ensuring the individual’s cultural, religious and linguistic needs are met.
Summary of services
Parents and carers groups are regularly held in the SAFS centre, and offer information and advice, peer support and wellbeing activities.
Remit
SAFS provide a culturally sensitive service based on individual needs and requirements. Services are provided in line with the personalization and independence wellbeing and choice agendas. They are able to tailor all services to the needs of the individuals and the budgets that they receive.

Yes - they have set hourly rates for the different types of services that they provide. They can receive direct payments and Individual Living Fund packages.
