Support if you are self-isolating
If you have been told to self-isolate you must stay at home along with everyone else in the household.
- Go to work
- Go shopping
- Take children to school
- Leave home to exercise
Only leave home to get tested for Covid-19.
If you need urgent, practical support to stay at home, help is available.
You may be eligible for a support payment of £500.
Other help and support
If you need help with shopping or other practical tasks we urge to to ask family, friends or neighbours to help you.
Supermarkets can offer online shopping if you need essential items.
If you have no one who can support you and need help because you are self-isolating please fill in our online form to get emergency help.
We will do our best to help to enable you to access food deliveries and general support.
- If anyone turns up saying they are from the council and we haven’t called you first (and they don’t have council identification) do not let them in.
- If the council is helping you at this time our staff will not ask for payment.
- Do not hand over money to a stranger and never share your PIN number.
