Two new mountain bike trails in Sandwell

We have two new leisure rides for you to download and explore.

Ride one - Tour de Sandwell MTB style - is mostly off-road using green spaces and canals. The distance is 32 miles, starting and finishing at Forge Mill farm. Download the GPS route. Download Garmin route.

Ride two - Sandwell Safari - is more challenging covering a greater distance, again starting and finishing at Forge Mill farm. Rather than a single loop however, this ride twists and turns through Sandwell reaching a distance of 42 miles, clipping the edges of Walsall, Dudley and Wolverhampton.

Download the GPS route. Download the Garmin route.

Both rides take in Sandwell Valley Country Park, Warrens Hall Country Park, Netherton and Coseley tunnels (so a good front light is a must have), Rowley Hills, Weddell Wynd, Merrions Wood, Red House Park and RSPB reserve.

Ride one passes the Sleipnir (possibly the largest equestrian statue in the country), whilst ride two adds in Sheepwash Nature Reserve and Brunswick Park. Ride two also has a sting in its tail, just when you think it’s over, the ride turns north for another four and half miles with 150 feet of climbing before descending into Sots Hole Nature Reserve. You will need the legs for this all day ride!

No liability is accepted for loss or injury whilst undertaking these rides.

Downloading of files is at the individual's risk and the publisher makes no guarantee with regard to them being virus free.

Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy of mapping. Due to some locations being isolated, riders are advised to ride with a partner. All riders should have a good front light capable of illuminating the way.
