All applications for grants funded by Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) require a public consultation. The applications will be posted on this page for 14 days so that the local community can comment on the proposal.

Project Name: Beyond Blue Counselling Service

Breakthru was established in 2016 and is an organisation that works with communities and individuals in the Sandwell area, bringing people together, encouraging wellbeing both mentally and physically and assisting social inclusion. This is done through various groups and sessions; Aman Group, Beyond Blue Counselling, Between Women, Artsy and Knit & Knatter.
The Organisation currently provides approximately 600 counselling sessions per year, via their Beyond Blue Counselling service at their current office, but all of these are on a 1 to 1 basis.
They have now obtained a room at Wednesbury Library, which is better suited to the facilitation of Counselling. This will allow them to increase their Counselling Services to include couples and families, meaning an increase from 600 sessions per annum to 1,330 per annum.
They are requesting CIL funding for a Counselling Sofa, a Counselling Chair and a side table.

Project Name: Midland Langar Seva Society

Midland Langar Seva Society is a registered charity that help feed the community in West Bromwich, Monday-Sunday 6pm-7pm, by handing out hot meals and food parcels. This is mainly for people who are homeless, have mental health issues, are less fortunate.
The organisation is serving around 80 people per day and the demand is rising.
Midland Langar Seva are requesting CIL funding for 7 tables, a gazebo, barriers and cooking equipment.
These items will allow the group to keep the food, volunteers and users protected in all weather conditions, cook and serve the food in an efficient, organised and safe manner.
Amount of CIL funding being requested is £2,768.93
