Black Country Plan Consultation
Draft Black Country Plan 2039 (Regulation 18) Additional Walsall only Consultation - 11 July - 5 September 2022
The Black Country Authorities of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton are seeking your views on an important Plan that will shape the future of the Black Country.
We are consulting from Monday 11th July 2022 until 5.00pm on Monday 5th September 2022 on the Draft Black Country Plan and accompanying Sustainability Appraisal.
The Black Country Plan is a joint Local Plan prepared by the four Black Country Authorities. The Plan will direct where new housing and employment development will be located in the Black Country up to 2039.
This additional consultation follows the Draft Plan consultation, which was concluded in October 2021. Following a review of the representations there are three more potentially suitable housing sites in Walsall, which require consideration and should follow the same consultation process as the other sites we consulted on last year.
The Black Country Core Strategy, which was adopted in 2011, is now under review and will be replaced by the Black Country Plan. An Issues and Options consultation took place in 2017. The preparation timetable, supporting evidence and further details are available at: Black Country Plan Timetable (dudley.gov.uk)
The public consultation on Draft Black Country Plan (Regulation 18) took place between 16 August to 11 October 2021. The consultation is now closed.
