West Bromwich Indoor Market Hall
West Bromwich indoor market is located in the busy shopping centre with over 120,000 visitors a week. If you want all the advantages of renting a retail premises without the overheads this is ideal for your business. The indoor market is purpose designed with 65 stalls in the main hall and a further 12 stalls in a dedicated food hall. At present six units are available.
This market boasts secure premises and storage allowing you to restock out of trading hours. You can select small or large stalls and have the flexibility to design the layout yourself to create the perfect trading ambience. A traders car park is also available.
Trading in the indoor market requires a longer term commitment from you than trading from an outdoor market. The stalls are of varying sizes to suit different goods. Stalls are let subject to a licence and there are various financial incentives to get you trading with us.
What to do next
You will be asked to sign a licence that incorporates terms and conditions of renting a stall in the market. The licence is weekly originally, with a month's written notice being required to terminate your licence. This means you will be invoiced monthly in advance. No deposits or other fees are levied by Sandwell Market services. While your stall comes with lighting and powerpoints, you will be billed for electricity separately on a usage basis, so you have control of your overheads.
You can also rent a traders car parking space from us and take advantage of long term parking for large vehicles and the convenient loading bay to restock your stall easily. You should also consider business rates that are charged on the rateable value of your stall. You may wish to take advantage of the current 100% rate relief on stalls with a rateable value under the current threshold.
The Council is intending to move the indoor market to brand new premises on the High Street at the end of 2023 or early 2024 once the new market hall has been created. The new site will be a class leading facility and offer a wide range of traditional market stalls as well as a wide range of street food options.
Stall fees
Many types of stall are on offer, so call us to discuss prices. Typically, a large stall is approximately 10ft x 20ft, while a small stall is 10ft x 10ft. Prices start from £74 per week depending on stall size.
The indoor market trades 6 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9.00am till 5.00pm, Tuesday 9am till 4.00pm.
