Get an apprenticeship or get help to find a job or training

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a training programme where you learn “on the job” while getting paid.

We can help you find an apprenticeship with a local business or with one of the departments in Sandwell Council.

If you decide to take up an apprenticeship, you will:

Get paid as well as gaining valuable skills and experience- you can find information on current National Minimum Wage rates here
Be enrolled on a course with an accredited training provider or college to gain new knowledge and skills
Gain nationally recognised qualifications specifically relating to your chosen career.

We can also help you to access other types of training courses, working with Connexions, JobCentre Plus, SAFL, local colleges, training providers and other voluntary sector organisations.

There is no age limit for apprenticeships, anyone over school leaving age can apply

We may also be able to help you to find jobs in these sectors if you are not eligible for or decide that an apprenticeship is not for you.
