Sandwell Young Carers is a registered charity providing services to children and young people,
aged 5-18 years, living in Sandwell, whose lives are affected as a result of caring for a dependent
family member.

Young Carers Promotion Officer

Location: West Bromwich and the wider Sandwell borough
Salary: £20,439 per annum (35 hours per week)
The post holder will be required to undertake development work with schools, colleges, and other
educational settings. This post will also include working with GP’s, Primary Care Teams and other
health and social care settings, all to help them identify and offer support to young carers within

Short Breaks Co-ordinator (MATERNITY COVER - 12 months)

35 hours per week - £22,669 per annum
The post holder will manage a team of sessional workers, virtual, onsite and offsite activities and be responsible for risk assessments.   

Sessional Youth/Play Leaders - £10.25 per hour 

(Play; 5-10 yrs / Youth; 11-18 yrs)
A team of sessional youth and play leaders to work within the short breaks programme offering centre based Saturday play sessions, evening youth sessions, day trips out, school holiday scheme and occasional residential breaks.  

Sessional VIRTUAL Youth/Play Leaders - £10.25 per hour

We are searching for people who can entertain, engage, and support children and young people whilst they enjoy Virtual play and youth sessions through cloud video systems (Zoom).

Transport Escort - (3-6 hours per fortnight) £10.25 per hour

The organisation is looking to employ flexible and reliable sessional transport escorts to commit to evening and weekend work for transporting young carers by taxi and minibus to and from the organisation activities.

Part-Time Home Care Assistant

Location: Sandwell

Homecare Assistants required to help people in Sandwell to live independently in their own homes. Experience is not necessary, as training is provided.
Must have a UK driving licence and own car. As you will be travelling to peoples homes providing personal care. Which will involve washing, dressing and toileting the service users.
