Registers Relating to Elected Members

Register of Electors

The register is a full list of all people who live and are entitled to vote within Sandwell. There are 2 versions of the register. Since 2002, electors have been able to request that their details are not added to the edited version of the register.

Unedited Version

This is the full version of the register and only certain organisations can access the full version for specified purposes.

Register of Births, Marriages and Deaths

The Registrars Service hold details of births, marriages and deaths occurring within the borough since 1837.

Planning Register

Paper Copy: Weekly list of the Planning Register is available by contacting the Planning Support Unit on 0121 569 4054/4055 or Oldbury Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 3DE

In person: The Register is available for inspection at the above address.
Cost: An annual subscription charge applies of you wish to receive the report on a regular basis.

Planning Application Decision Notices

Street Register

A public record held and maintained by Highways Services. Plans showing streets within Sandwell that are maintained at the public expense.

In person: Printed plans are available for inspection by appointment only, at Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury.

Taxi Licensing

Section 51(3) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 Register for Private Hire Drivers Licences

Contains the name of the person to whom it is granted; the date on which and the period for which it is granted; and if the licence has a serial number, that number.
