What do I do if my bin hasn't been emptied?
What do I do if my blue lid recycling bin wasn’t emptied because it was overfull?
Sorry we don’t empty bins where they are too full for the lid to close. Please take out some of your recycling so that the bin lid will close and put your bin out for your next weekly collection.
You can squash or flatten many items that should go in your recycling bin, like plastic bottles, cardboard boxes or cartons and this will give your more space in your recycling bin.
If you regularly have extra recycling you can do the following:
- Take this to the Household Recycling Centre in Oldbury
- Ask a neighbour if you can put it in their bin on this occasion
- Store the bagged up recycling until your bin is emptied next week
- Request a larger blue lid recycling bin
