Phone survey about your bin collections | Sandwell Council

Essential maintenance

Some of our online services will be unavailable between 8pm and 10pm on Tuesday 25 January due to essential maintenance. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Phone survey about your bin collections

If you live in Sandwell, you may receive a phone call from a company asking you about your bin collections and street cleaning.

The survey will only ask general questions and you won’t be asked to disclose any personal information. Any feedback you give will be treated anonymously and will help us to improve our services.

Our waste contractor Serco requests that this survey is done periodically i.e. up to four times a year with 250 residents (approximately February, May, August and November).

This survey is carried out by Prevision Research who are conducting the interviews on behalf of Wavelength Insight, an independent company who are employed by a range of organisations in the UK, across a variety of sectors including transport, energy and finance. Prevision and Wavelength are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and are compliant with the UK Data Protection Act 2018. Prevision are company partners of the Market Research Society (MRS).

Residents who receive one of these calls may notice the company is calling from a 01908 number - this is because their offices are in Milton Keynes.

Biennial Door to Door Survey 2019

The next biennial waste and cleansing survey is currently taking place, in October 2019.

This survey is commissioned every two years by the Sandwell Waste Partnership.  It aims to explore levels of satisfaction and resident preferences, attitudes and behaviours in waste, recycling and cleansing services.

The survey targets a sample of 1000 residents proportionately across the boroughs six towns and is being carried out by Future Thinking (details above).

The data and report produced as a result of the survey will be used by Serco and Sandwell Council to improve services and will help identify trends and areas for further exploration.
