Neighbourhood Services Team
The Neighbourhood Services Team currently operates two main functions: Town Grants and Ward Co-Ordinators. The team facilitates Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) grants and administers meetings between Sandwell Council and Members at a Town and Ward Level.
Town Grants.
The Town Grants core function is to facilitate Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Grants across Sandwell. Groups and organisations can apply for CIL funding to either start a new project or to continue running an existing project, which benefits the local community. To find out if your group is eligible, please click the link below to ‘Find out more about Community Infrastructure Levy Grants’. Since 2020, over £290,000 has been granted to local groups in Sandwell, with over 100 groups benefitting from the funding.
Ward Co-ordinators
The Ward Co-ordinators core function is to facilitate Ward Meetings and Walkabouts across Sandwell for the local councillors. They are the first point of contact for Ward Councillors, when they have a complex issue that requires multiple Council Officers to find a solution.
If you have an non-urgent issue or concern, please report this via your MySandwell account or by calling our Contact Centre on 0121 569 6000 in the first instance.
