UDBS is pleased to unveil Forge Mill Farm’s latest enhancement, crafted to enrich the visitor experience—particularly for younger guests. The new facility boasts a themed play area focused on education, alongside a cosy café, a dedicated classroom, and upgraded toilets within the existing barn structure.
Working in conjunction with Parks and Countryside, UDBS managed the project from start to finish. Our team of professionals, including architects, surveyors, and engineers, collaborated with contractors SWG and Greenspan to ensure a successful outcome. The project was completed by the anticipated date of 15 July 2025.
Balancing budget limitations, client preferences, and construction methods posed numerous challenges throughout the project. The combination of a farm theme with modern elements, compliance with building codes, and the integration of sustainable features such as solar panels, roof lights, and AC units with heat recovery required innovative solutions and teamwork. Creative problem-solving and collaborative efforts were crucial in overcoming these obstacles.
Forge Mill Farm successfully combines functionality, education, and sustainability within a beautifully designed farm-themed environment.
