Organisation Name: Cradley Heath Bowls Club

Project Name:  FloodLights

Cradley Heath Bowls is a well-established bowls group that was formed in 1910. Currently they have 14 teams with 70 members within the club. They play in a competitive season from April to September.  The club do play in many different competitive leagues such as Oldbury, Dudley, Brierley Hill and Kingswinford, the Smethwick league.

The group currently have floodlights which are no longer fit for purpose and are not environmentally friendly or energy efficient. 

Cradley Heath Bowls have applied for CIL funding to purchase new floodlights. This equipment would be used during the season’s competitive matches and training. 

Having the new floodlights would allow the bowls club to host floodlight competitions in the winter but to host other competition that take place throughout the season. 

Amount of CIL funding being requested is £3,188.66

Organisation Name: Steppingstones In The Community 

Project Name: Steppingstones in the Community – digital skills and Aspiring youths youth club

Steppingstones were established during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been registered as a CIC and running for the last 2 years. The purpose of our organisation is to support the local community with their physical and mental health by getting them active and talking to help the community.

The organisation has identified the need for new equipment for their youth club and drop in sessions. The new equipment will help create a balanced programme where digital access, physical activity, and social connection come together. 

They will draw people into the centre, sustain their engagement, and provide us with consistent opportunities to deliver health and wellbeing interventions.

The group is requesting CIL funding to purchase equipment including laptops, PS5, pool table and a Nintendo Switch 2
