What a fantastic day at Sandwell Valley
What a fantastic but exhausting day at our Careers Expo at Sandwell Valley Park, West Bromwich on sat 12 July. Held inside a giant marquee, this exciting event is a key feature of SHAPE Youth Summer Fest – Sandwell’s biggest youth event of the year, drawing thousands of young people and families from across the borough.
The Careers EXPO is an unmissable opportunity for young people in Years 9 to 13, unemployed young people, and their parents to meet a wide range of employers, training providers, colleges, and universities. With career advice and guidance provided by Sandwell Council's Careers Advisers, the event is designed to inspire, inform, and empower the next generation as they take the first steps into their futures.
This year's Careers EXPO welcomed over 470 young people and their families, all eager to discover pathways into employment, apprenticeships, and further education. Despite scorching 34-degree temperatures, the marquee was packed with energy as dozens of committed exhibitors shared valuable insights and opportunities with Sandwell’s future workforce.
