For assessments for equipment provided by the local authority the occupational therapy service is applicable to Sandwell residents only. This does not apply if service users wish to purchase equipment and would like occupational therapy guidance.

Summary of services
The Occupational Therapy Service is just one of the services based at the Independent Living Centre. For more details regarding services at the Independent Living Centre, please telephone the Centre on 0121 558 5555.
The Occupational Therapy Service at Ideal For All runs alongside Sandwell Council's Equipment and Adaptations Service. Both services assess people in Sandwell for equipment. The primary difference is that a person will often have an initial assessment by the Occupational Therapist at the Independent Living Centre. The Occupational Therapist can also assess a person for equipment that they wish to purchase privately and where appropriate, advise people on sources of funding. Total capacity of service
The Service operates on a case-by-case basis. When appropriate, a waiting list system is put in operation
Transport is not provided, service users need to be able to come to the Independent Living Centre to access the service
