Where do they provide service from?Autism awareness sessions and family groups are run in community venues within Sandwell. The resource cafes are at: the Community Room, Oldbury Library, Jack Judge House, 10 Halesowen Street, Oldbury, B69 2AJ; The Westminster School, Curral Road, Rowley Regis B65 9AN; Cradley Heath Library, Upper High Street, Cradley Heath B64 5JU; The Orchard School, Causeway Green Road, Oldbury, B68 8LD. Summary of servicesResource cafes - where people share resources, experiences and ideas amongst parents, carers and professionals with a guest speaker every month.

Family outreach work - they work with families within their own home to provide advice and guidance about autism. They also work with the parents to implement strategies to help manage their child’s behaviours and to help the parents gain a good understanding of autism.

Autism awareness sessions aim to develop understanding and provide strategies to use at home.

Autism advice sessions for parents and carers who wish to privately discuss any issues around autism

The Parents group is an opportunity to come along to a friendly and informal group for a coffee, a chat and a chance to meet others.

The Dads group is for dads to learn more about autism and meet other dads who have children with autism. They can discuss things like ideas and strategies to help manage behaviour.

Autism West Midlands also runs occasional family days .
When are the services run?See below
Time detailsOldbury resource cafe and parents group runs on one Friday each month (different Fridays for each group) 10 am - 12pm at Oldbury Library.

Cradley Heath resource cafe runs on one Monday each month 10 am - 12pm at Cradley Heath Library.

Westminster School (Rowley Regis) and Orchard School (Oldbury) resource cafes run on different days and times each month.

The awareness sessions run on a different day of the week each month 9.30am - 12.30pm at different locations. Please call to book a place and for more details of dates or venue.

Autism advice sessions will take place once per month in Oldbury, Cradley Heath and Wednesbury. Please call for details and to book a place.

Dads groups at Regent Court, George Road, Birmingham will run monthly from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday 25th April, 30th May, 27th June, 25th July, 29th August 2013 (more dates to follow).
