Rubbish and recycling collections
Find out what you can recycle, what day your rubbish and recycling is collected and the opening times for the tip. You can also download your your garden waste and blue lid recycling collection calendar.
Planning applications
Find out about planning permission, planning appeals, local land charges and building regulations. You can also view planning applications that have been submitted to Sandwell Council.
Council tax
Council tax applies to all residential properties regardless of whether they are rented or owned. The amount you have to pay depends on which valuation band your home is placed in. We are responsible for collecting Council Tax and this goes towards the local services we provide.
Housing
Sandwell Homes is responsible for the provision of housing management and repairs & maintenance services to approximately 29,000 council-owned properties throughout Sandwell. Sandwell Council also provides information and advice on housing.
Your local councillor
Local councils are run by elected councillors who are voted for by local people. Councillors are responsible for making decisions on behalf of the community about local services, for example rubbish collection and leisure facilities, and agreeing budgets and Council Tax charges.
