'Between Women' sessions launched in Tipton
Published 6th November 2019
New sessions to give Tipton women the chance to get involved in exercise, healthy living and stress relief skills are being run at a local library.
The “Between Women” scheme involves weekly sessions for the next six months to help to prevent isolation and support health and wellbeing for local people.
The sessions run by Breakthru CIC are being held at Glebefields Library between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on Tuesdays and have been backed with a £4,800 town grant from Sandwell Council.
Councillor Ian Jones, town chair for Tipton said: “This is a very important scheme for women because it takes in so many different aspects of life.
“It encourages people to work with confidence boosting, yoga, health information and parental skills as well as the opportunity to get together and form friendships.”
Councillor Jones said it was hoped that these activities would help prevent isolation and support health and wellbeing of participants. The sessions will be held in the Community room at Glebefields Library, St Mark's Road, in Tipton.
