Vote for Sandwell's parks and green spaces in national competition
Published 3rd September 2019
People can vote now to help find the nation’s favourite parks – with 12 Sandwell green spaces in the running.
Voting closes on 30 September in Keep Britain Tidy’s Green Flag People’s Choice Awards. You can vote for your favourite from almost 1,900 nationwide.
The 10 most popular parks and green spaces in the UK will be announced in October.
Sandwell has 12 parks and green spaces awarded the prestigious Green Flag – and the People’s Choice Awards are a further chance for public recognition.
Sandwell’s 2019 list includes six town parks, a cemetery and crematorium, as well as Sandwell Valley Country Park and community-run Warley Woods.
Two new parks received the special Green Flag status for the first time this year – Lightwoods Park and Red House Park.
