Christmas lights

Sandwell's towns and communities will be celebrating the lead up to Christmas with a series of light switch-on events.

The Christmas lights will go on in Smethwick at an event outside Smethwick Council House this evening (Friday 2 November) at 6pm. Events around Sandwell will then follow throughout November and into early December.

Sandwell Council’s deputy leader Councillor Syeda Khatun said: “We have 13 light switch-on events around Sandwell this year to get people in the Christmas spirit.

"I'd like to thank the community associations who are running some of the events, which have been funded by the council. I hope everyone really enjoys themselves and gets to as many events as they can in the run up to Christmas."
