Plans for new building for Moorlands Primary School

Sandwell Council is set to build a brand new building at Moorlands Primary School if plans are signed off by councillors.
The West Bromwich school could receive an investment of £300,000 to replace the run-down nursery building.
The nursery, known as Little Learners, is currently being run from a local church hall following the school building falling into disrepair.
Sandwell previously pledged £7,200 to make improvements to the church hall following the school's announcement that the nursery may have to close.
Councillor Simon Hackett, cabinet member for children’s services said: "Parents were very disappointed and angry to hear the nursery at Moorlands Primary may have to close.
"We stepped in earlier this year to save the nursery and pay for modifications to the church hall but this was only ever a temporary arrangement.
"If agreed, we hope the £300,000 will build a fit for purpose nursery that will provide children with a great start to their education for many years to come."
If agreed at Sandwell Council's cabinet meeting on Wednesday 20 September work on the site is set to start immediately. The school has agreed to clear to site to make way for the new building.
It is hoped work on the new building will be completed by January 2018.
