An event will be held at The Hawthorns on Thursday (1 November) to celebrate the achievements of Sandwell students with special educational needs and disabilities who took part in a summer scheme.
The celebration at West Bromwich Albion will be attended by the Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Keith Davies.
The students involved took part in a summer scheme.
The summer scheme was funded by Sandwell Council Short Breaks and The Big Lottery Fund through The People's Millions. It was held at The Meadows Sports College, Oldbury, and the residential special school Shenstone Lodge, Lichfield.
Activities included swimming, bike riding and arts and crafts. They were based on an 'Olympic theme' to coincide with London 2012 and some activities were run with help from the Albion Foundation.
Sessions were attended by and brought together students from across Sandwell's special schools and mainstream schools to join in fun activities and make new friends.
The celebration at The Hawthorns on Thursday (1 November) will recognise the achievements of over 100 10-19 year old students who attended the scheme.
It will allow the students to receive certificates and give parents the opportunity to see what happened by watching a DVD.
