Young members of Oldbury Youth Council ran a fundraising session in the town centre as part of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
The young people aged 12 -18 years were supported by staff from Sandwell Council Young People's Services at Oldbury Library, Jack Judge House.
They raised £70 in under thre hours for Macmillan Cancer Support by selling drinks and sweet and savoury snacks.
The young people from Oldbury Youth Council were Vakini and Sharuni Shanmugaranjan, Patricia Williams, Shaheen Akhtar and Tanika St James.
Vakini Shanmugaranjan, Oldbury Youth Council member, said: "Many people are affected by cancer and it's a great feeling to be able to help in a small way. We would like to thank everyone who helped to make this event a success."
Sharon Nanan-Sen, strategic lead for services for young people at Sandwell Council, said: "I attended one of their planning meetings for this event. Many young people in Sandwell give up their evenings to work on issues and activities that will help other people.
"To raise £70 in two and half hours for Macmillan Cancer Support is a great result."
