Drivers are being warned of possible delays as three road schemes take place in Sandwell over the next few weeks

In Oldbury, emergency work is scheduled to take place on a railway bridge in Penncricket Lane.

In order for the work to take place Penncricket Lane will be closed from its junction with Cakemore Road to its junction with York Road from midnight on Saturday August 25 to midnight  on August 26.

Diversions will be set up as follows. On the north side of the closure via: Cakemore Road, Station Road, Oldbury Road and vice-versa.

On the south side of the closure via: Cakemore Road, Station Road, Oldbury Road and vice-versa.

Vehicles over 15ft 3in in height are being advised to divert via Birchfield Lane, Wolverhampton Road, Causeway Green Road and vice-versa.

The work is being carried out by Network Rail.

In Pages Lane, Great Barr, carriageway/paving work is being carried out.

It will mean Pages Lane will be closed from August 28 to 31 off peak tinmes only. Vehicles will still be able to exit Pages Lane onto Newton Road while the work is taking place.

Traffic will be diverted via Newton Road, Birmingham Road, Cross Lane and vice-versa.

 A temporary one-way system will be put in place in Church Vale, West Bromwich, between September 3 and 10.

It is to allow  work to be carried out installing a new gully and pipe.

Church Vale from its junction with Parsonage Street to its junction with the access road to the rear of No's 2 - 30 Parsonage Street will be one-way in a northerly direction (from Parsonage Street.

 

Southbound traffic will be diverted via Church Vale, Churchfields Way, All Saints Way and Parsonage Street.
