Summer in Sandwell libraries

Libraries in Sandwell are providing children with lots of free activities over the next couple of weeks.
Cabinet member for leisure services Councillor Linda Horton said: "We might not be having a very sunny summer but our libraries are working flat out to provide lsome sunshine events for youngsters during the holiday period."
On Friday(AUG10) Bleakhouse Library in Oldbury, is having a 'double event', with a visit from Dudley Zoo from 2pm until 3pm, and face painting from 3pm until 4pm.
Children wishing to go along to this event should contact the library on 0121 422 2798.
Also, at Hamstead Library in Great Barr, is hosting an event with Steve the Juggler from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Again, those wishing to go along to this circus workshop should contact Hamstead Library on 0121 569 2548.
Highlights of the summer programme next week include a music workshop with Andy Casserley at Great Barr Library on Monday August 13, 11am - 12 noon. Meanwhile in the afternoon there will be a street dance workshop at Thimblemill Library in Smethwick, from 2pm until 3pm.
On Tuesday August 14, Blackheath Library will host two family craft workshops from 10am-12 noon and 2pm-4pm as part of the Sandwell Arts Festival.
On Wednesday August 15, Central Library in West Bromwich, will be hosting 'Groovy Greek Myths' workshops from 11am until 12 noon for Under 8s, and then at 1pm until 2pm for Over 8s.
Then on Friday August 17, Oldbury Library will be visited by 'Pets at Home' from 11am until 11.45am and at Tipton Library children will be able to learn all about the magic of Rubik's cube from 2.30pm-4pm.
