Sandwell Council’s revenues and benefits team have raised £370 for Cancer Research.

Back-office staff at the Council House in Oldbury collected donations, held a raffle and wore fancy dress to support the charity.

Revenues and Benefits Services Manager Ian Hubball said: "Many of us working in revenues and benefits have colleagues, friends and relatives who have been diagnosed with cancer, so it is a cause that is close to our hearts.

"We recently lost a colleague to cancer and that gave us the push to raise money for Cancer Research. In the end we collected around £370."

Sandwell Council's cabinet member for strategic resources Cllr Steve Eling said: "It's good to see staff raising money for such a good cause."
