Sandwell libraries celebrate Diamond Jubilee

Sandwell libraries will be celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a feast of activities for both children and adults.
Libraries will be holding a number of events, including Jubilee tea parties at Great Bridge Library from 2.30pm on Friday 25 May and at Tipton Library on Wednesday 30 May from 2.30pm to 4pm.
Jubilee Afternoon Tea will be served at Langley Library on Monday 28 May from 2.30pm to 5pm and at Blackheath Library on Wednesday 30 May from 2pm to 3pm.
Meanwhile, Rounds Green Library will be hosting Jubilee Crafts on Saturday 26 May from 11.30am to 12.15pm.
Then during Jubilee week there will be a host of activities ranging from crown-making to cake decorating and from designing bunting and souvenir plates to 'Prince and Princess' parties for under 5s.
Special events include a Jubilee Celebration Day at Brandhall Library on Saturday 2 June from 10am to 1pm featuring local clown Will E Droppit.
There will also be a talk by Tony Page at Blackheath Library marking '60 Memorable Years' from 7pm.
Cabinet member for leisure services Councillor Linda Horton said: "There is something for every age at your local library as we remember the Queen's 60-year reign."
