An interesting range of events for children and adults has been drawn up for the Stone Cross Library in West Bromwich during December - including a stitching session and a magic show.

The children's sessions kick off with a drawing lesson on Saturday, December 3, at 11.30am, followed by a Christmas Cross Stitch session for the over-8s on Tuesday, December 6, at 3.30pm.

On Saturday, December 17, there will be a session for youngsters who want to make calendars between 10am-12 noon.

And on Wednesday, December 21, the local children's magician Ron Popple will be doing his Puppet & Magic Show at the library. Booking is advisable for this ever-popular event.

There are also events for adults, starting on Monday, December 5, where a Friends' Group is being held at 2.15pm.

On Monday, December 12, local historian Ian Bott will be giving a local history talk and slide show. It is entitled "Time, Gentlemen Please - a Gallery of Pub Sights".

Social get-togethers are planned for December 20, 21 and 23, when coffee and mince pies will be served.

All events are free and all adults welcome, refreshments provided.
