The Development Management Section provide a full range of planning services to Sandwell residents and to developers investing in the Borough.  The service includes:

  • Pre-application advice
  • The processing of planning applications
  • Dealing with appeals
  • Monitoring of development and enforcement of contraventions if required
  • Tree Preservation Order submissions and High Hedge legislation and tackling unsightly and untidy sites through planning legislation.

Our Development Management team will be happy to discuss any of these issues with you. 

There is a Development Management Charter which is intended to assist the public with providing a greater understanding of the planning application process. The document sets out how the Development Management system operates in practice and its benefits.
