View planning applications in Sandwell
Limitations of the online planning system
Electronic capture of documentation associated with applications commenced 1st June 2004. Viewing documents associated with applications still current but deposited before that date will require a visit to the Spatial Planning office at Development House, Lombard Street, West Bromwich, or Municipal Buildings , Barrs Road , for the Blackheath, Rowley Regis, Tividale, Cradley Heath and Old Hill Wards.
To view documents associated with applications determined before the 1st June you should make an appointment to ensure that the relevant file will be available when you visit.
Under normal circumstances plans and documents associated with new planning applications will be available for viewing once the application has been made valid. If none are displayed at the time of your enquiry, you may wish to try a few days later. Alternatively, they will be available for viewing at the offices as referred to above.
Public Access is available online 7 days a week. However, as 'live' data is being present to enquirers the database will be taken off line when security copies are being made. This will usually happen every Saturday at 3.00pm. The service continues to be developed and it is hoped that full 24/7 access will be provided in the future.
To ensure that Planning Applications are determined as quickly as practicable a flexible approach is adopted to issues resolution with applicants, this can result in applications being added to or withdrawn from published Planning Committee Agendas right up to the date of the Committee. The Target Committee date indicated under 'Important Dates' should be viewed as indicative only (Applicants or their Agents are informed directly of relevant Committee dates). A program of proposed Committee dates is available for viewing via the Council's Committee Management Information System (CMIS) which can be accessed from the Main Home Page.
The online planning history contained within the site at present is incomplete and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal 'Land Charge Search'. No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from 'Public Access'. Similarly the information contained within Public Access does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
