Sandwell Well-being Charter Mark - new developments

The Healthy Mind, Happy Me Curriculum is out now

We are delighted to announce our new version of the Healthy Mind, Happy Me Curriculum is currently being delivered to all schools across Sandwell.

We regularly hold curriculum events for schools to discuss how they are finding the new curriculum and ways which it has been used.

This curriculum uses characters to highlight the key themes: All About Me, Friendships, Resilience and Coping, Belonging, My Wider World and Being the Best I Can Be.

If your school has not yet received either a hard copy and/or a PDF of the curriculum please contact us or email Sandwell_wellbeingchartermark@sandwell.gov.uk

If you are not a Sandwell school but you are interested in the Healthy Mind, Happy Me Curriculum, we also have a standard version including all our characters, available to purchase. Contact us.

Sustainability

For those schools who have completed their Charter Mark – it doesn’t end here. The Charter Mark award is valid for three years, after which schools will be able to renew the award and ensure the school sustains its positive approach to whole school well-being.’Find out more about renewing your Charter Mark.

The Charter Mark Team

Across the four years we have had a number of different Research Psychologists involved in the Charter Mark. Below are all of those who have worked hard to make this project successful across many schools.

With thanks to our previous team members:

  • Rachel Hunt – Research Psychologist – Year 1-2
  • Zoe Capper – Research Psychologist – Year 1-2
  • Melissa Morrison – Research Psychologist – Year 3
  • Robert Lee – Research Psychologist – Year 3
  • Joseph Humphreys – Research Psychologist – Year 3
  • Shauna Benton – Research Psychologist – Year 2-3

Many of whom have been successful in getting accepted onto Educational Psychology training courses.
