Voices 2020 is Coram Voice’s
Voices 2020 is Coram Voice’s annual creative writing competition for children in care and care leavers. This year’s theme is Dreams, the competition will open for entries on Thursday 12 December 2019 at www.coramvoice.org.uk/voices and close on Wednesday 12 February 2020.
We think care experienced young people have powerful, unique voices, young people can write about their family, social workers, foster carers, teachers, friends or even their pets. It could be a poem, a short story, a song, a rap – anything! As long as it is under 500 words and complies with the Voices rules.
There are four age categories to enter:
- Primary School (ages 4-10)
- Lower Secondary (ages 11-14),
- Upper Secondary (ages 15-17)
- Care Leavers (ages 18-25).
Shortlisted entrants will be invited to an awards ceremony next April and have their writing published in a book showcasing their achievements.
