Parking at Sandwell Valley

If you have a parking permit for Sandwell Valley that expires on 31 March 2020 and you have been unable to renew it - please display your expired permit in your vehicle throughout April. You will not be issued with a penalty charge notice as long as you have the expired permit displayed. We will update this in accordance with the government's advice.

Parking charges apply at the following car parks at Sandwell Valley in West Bromwich:

  • Lodge Hill Road (the main car park accessed from Salters Lane)
  • Swan Pool
  • Forge Mill Farm & Lake

One ticket covers all Sandwell Valley Country Park car parks.

Charges apply between 9am and 6pm every day in summer (when British Summer Time is in force) and between 9.30am and 3pm every day in winter (when Greenwich Mean Time is in force). Outside of these times there is no charge for parking.


Pay and display charges at these car parks are as follows:

  • Up to one hour - 40p
  • Up to two hours - 80p            
  • Up to three hours - £1.20
  • Up to four hours - £1.60
  • More than four hours (all day) - £2
  • One year season ticket - £40

Purchased tickets are valid at all Sandwell Valley car parks.

Parking is free for Blue Badge holders.

Regular visitors can purchase an annual parking permit for £40 which can be used all year to park in any Sandwell Valley car park. These season tickets are not valid at any other long or short stay council car park or on event days. Events at the Valley will be advertised at least 21 days in advance.

To purchase a car park permit, download an application form and return it by email to sandwell.permits@acpoa.com and we will contact you to take your payment over the phone.

Alternatively, you download and print the relevant form, fill it in, enclose a cheque payable to Sandwell MBC and return it to:

Please make sure you apply for a new permit at least seven days in advance to make sure you receive it in time.

Collect your car park permit or have it posted to you

Car park permits can be collected from the One Stop Shop at Sandwell Council House in Oldbury once they are processed - this usually takes two days.

If you need your permit posted to you, there is a £7 Special Delivery postage charge. We cannot be held responsible for postage delays.
