Consultation on parking and traffic enforcement policy

Notice of consultation on proposed changes to the council's parking and traffic enforcement policy.

The Borough Council of Sandwell, in exercise of its powers and duties under the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell) Order 2000 and Operational Guidance under the Traffic Management Act 2004, proposes to introduce changes to the Sandwell Parking and Traffic Enforcement Policy: Operation of the Service and Scope of Parking Controls as follows:
  • that the Policy has been updated to incorporate new policy and operational provisions to extend and support parking  enforcement and compliance with Traffic Regulation Orders in accordance with operational guidance, regulations and legislation.

A copy of the draft policy may be examined at the offices of the Director of Regeneration and Economy, Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 3DE between the hours of 8am - 5.30pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 8am - 5pm on Fridays. The draft policy is also available to download.

Any person wishing to comment or make a representation to the proposed changes to the policy must do so in writing stating reasons to the Parking Enforcement Service, Highways, Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 3DE or by email to parking_tro@sandwell.gov.uk no later than the 25th August 2017.
