EPIC ‘Right up Your Street’ Project – Smethwick Town- in Partnership with Soho Victoria Friends & Neighbours & St Albans Community Association, seek to recruit a Community Co-ordinator and Outreach Worker.
We are looking for a confident team of staff to work on an innovative project over a 20 month period. It starts from the basis that if residents are facilitated to come together and look at changes they want to see, and then, with practical support they can lead the change process to benefit individuals, groups & neighbourhood, and, at the same time, develop toolkits, a set of practical everyday life resources, with the community that can be used by others to improve their lives & build community resilience.
Community Co-ordinator (20 months fixed term contract)
To ensure that the results of outreach work with groups of local residents is turned into marketable toolkits and workshops, which residents, partners and local organisations can use to improve their lives & build community resilience.
Community Outreach Worker (16 months fixed term contract)
To create a programme of outreach work, which draws in local residents and enables them to articulate issues and concerns they would like to address through a series of workshops, designed to result in useable tools and approaches to problem solving, which improve their lives and build community resilience.

Sandwell Adult and Family Learning Service are recruiting a permanent full-time adult English specialist tutor to join our existing team of good and outstanding staff.
The English teaching role is essential to meet the growing demands of our diverse community. You will need excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a commitment to driving up the quality of the English curriculum. You will be required to work some evenings and Saturdays at various points of the year e.g. during October when we take part in the national Family Learning Festival. Close team work with the Maths and ICT curriculum team will be critical to the post, as well as working within community learning to embed literacy skills across a wide range of subjects.
You will be expected to deliver and assess Functional Skills English and community-based learning to adults and families from entry level through to level 2; teaching 7 classes per week. It would be beneficial if you also have experience delivering GCSE English language to adults. You will need to evidence your English teaching hours for the past academic year, which must exceed 400 and hold an observation grade of good or outstanding. Knowledge of Ofsted, SAR, moderation, standardisation and RARPA would be a distinct advantage

Wages: Exceeds National Minimum Wage
Highly Skilled individual required to operate electric induction and cupola furnaces for metal production. Must be familiar with CEL measurements and GNR spectrometer.
The company is always looking to develop, and skills and experience that could take the company into new areas such as casting other metals will also be taken into account. This will be a senior position within the foundry
