Day services or day opportunities are health, social care or leisure services that help you keep active, learn skills and maintain friendships and social contacts.

Activities are many and varied and can include arts and crafts, gardening, using computers for learning, outings in the community and other group activities.

There are day centres and day services run by the council and other organisations. Some day care services or day opportunities are for people with mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities.
