West Midlands Combined Authority Mayoral election
On Thursday 4 May 2017, residents of Sandwell who are registered to vote will be able to vote in the West Midlands Combined Authority Mayoral election.

A booklet with details of the election has been sent to everyone who is registered to vote. Details of who the candidates are in the booklet and on the WMCA elects website.
Polling card telling all electors where their polling station have now been delivered and the deadline for registering to vote has now passed.
We have a few minor changes to polling station venues so please check your poll card. You will have an allocated polling station for your address.
The Combined Authority Returning Officer (CARO) is responsible for conducting this election and announcing the result on Friday 5 May. The CARO is based at Birmingham City Council.

We work closely with other council services, external organisations such as the Electoral Commission and West Midlands Police to safeguard your vote.
The WMCA Mayoral election will be conducted using the supplementary voting system, which was used in the Police and Crime Commissioner election in 2016.
- The deadline for applying for a proxy vote (someone to vote on your behalf) is Tuesday 25 April at 5pm
- Votes will be counted at Tipton Sports Academy on Friday 5 May
- The result of the election will be announced on Friday 5 May.
