The Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital Trust said the £370 million hospital, due to open in 2016, will become the civic heart of the area and a point of pride for the community.

Following its £23.5m redevelopment, Holly Lodge High School College of Science opened its doors in spring 2011. It is the first Sandwell school to be completed under the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.
