New Square shopping and leisure boost

Tesco store and new shops; Next, JD Sports and Primark

In the heart of the town centre, New Square provides excellent new shopping and leisure opportunities for West Bromwich.

The new Tesco Extra store opened on July 11, 2013, along with Next, JD Sports, Bank, Outfit, Deichmann and Phones 4 U. There is also a five screen Odeon cinema showing the latest releases and a choice of restaurants and cafes including Prezzo, Harvester, Costa and Nandos. Primark is the second anchor store of New Square and opened on the 12 September 2013.  

The New Square development:
  • provides modern shopping and leisure facilities for West Bromwich
  • represents £200m of investment for the town
  • brings an evening economy to the town 
  • creates more than 2,000 jobs
  • turn West Bromwich into a visitor destination.
