Book your ceremony at Sandwell Register Office
Please note: The Register office ceremony room is available to book for ceremonies Monday to Thursday. You will only be able to have two witnesses and no other guests if you opt for this room.
The Highfields Room, is available Monday to Friday only and accommodates the wedding couple and up to 14 guests.
The Sandwell Suite is available seven days a week for the couple and up to 85 guests.
You can book your wedding or civil partnership ceremony at Sandwell Register Office any day of the week (except for Christmas Day and Good Friday).
Room hire costs
We have three rooms available for wedding and civil partnership ceremonies.
The Register Office ceremony room costs £50 to hire and is available Monday to Thursday, for the couple and two witnesses only.
The Highfields Room holds 14 guests and prices are as follows:
- Monday to Thursday - £96
- Friday - £134
The Sandwell Suite holds up to 85 guests and prices are as follows:
- Monday to Thursday - £275
- Fridays and Saturdays - £383
- Sundays and Bank Holidays - £446
You can also get married at other venues in Sandwell, including hotels and West Bromwich Albion Football Club.
All couples getting married at the Register Office, and at all venues other than a Church of England church, must give Notice of Marriage.
Booking your ceremony
If you have a date in mind for holding your wedding or civil partnership, you can book with us up to two years in advance.
A holding fee of £52 is payable when you book your ceremony - this is a separate fee and does not form part of a deposit. It is also non-refundable.
Our photographers are on hand to capture your special moments at our Register Office in West Bromwich.
How to pay
For the register office ceremony room, or for The Highfields Room, the hire fee is payable in advance, when you either give notice or provisionally book your ceremony.
For the Sandwell Suite, the room hire fee must be paid at least four weeks before your ceremony.
Payments can be made by card (in person or over the phone) cash or cheque.
Please note, once fees have been paid in full, if you wish to cancel your ceremony without re-booking we will only refund 50% of the room hire cost.
If you cancel within three weeks of the ceremony date then no refund will be payable.
