Sandwell Council

Local people, local services

Police Community Support Officers chatting with a resident

Local people are more satisfied with services when they are involved in running them. Sandwell has a proud tradition of 'user', 'friends' and management groups which shape what goes on at schools, libraries, museums, children's centres etc.

We will build on the successes we have already had in working with people to shape and improve the services they rely upon.

We run projects to steer young people away from drink, drugs or committing crime, and we help those who do offend get back into education, training or work.

Our fight against anti-social behaviour is built on working closely with the police and local communities. When people do contact us to raise problems (such as litter, fly-tipping, etc) or ask for services, we will get back to them quickly and let them know what we are doing.
